If you wear make-up on a regular basis, specially foundation, you most definitely have had problems with creasing in your smile lines. Creasing is the appearance of lines and crumple, that happens after wearing foundation. They might not appear directly after the application of your foundation, but they do appear after an hour or so. Making your perfect make-up due seem less good. Luckily, here at the London Facial Care, we have a few tips to prevent foundation from creasing. This is how!

First, make sure you keep your skin moisturised with a good, light face cream. This, combined with an effective primer will allow your skin to stay smooth and prevent dryness of the skin. As an extra tip that many don’t know is to make sure your cream and primer have the same formula, whether oil based or water based. And the best foundation types are the liquid ones! Powder foundations settling into fine lines are also high, so for the perfect application, try beauty blenders like makeup sponges. They are amazing! Finish by dusting off with powder, if you are a true perfectionist! And for the cherry on the cake, try using some settling spray to keep your makeup in place.

However, this is not enough without correct exfoliation of your skin before application of these products. Make sure you exfoliate your face and have a good routine to keep your face clean before applying foundation on. Also, try and minimise the amount of products used on your face as this already increases creasing. Sometimes opt for a little bit of concealer on the areas of concern. This will allow your skin to breathe and still allow you the perfect look you want,  with no foundation creasing in laugh lines!
