We all know that with age, our skin loses its tightness and starts to sag as an inevitable part of human nature. We can delay this process by following a carefully designed skin regimen and by using anti-ageing techniques that are increasingly well designed to deal with this.

However, we also know that our diet is one of the main sources we can take advantage of to enable a younger and tighter skin. This is not used to our advantage well enough and this is why I wanted to assemble a few food products and how effective they can be in tightening our skin!

First and foremost, the tales that our parents used against us are inevitably the wisest! Eat your vegetables or you won’t have dessert, mum would say! And it’s true, specially for cruciferous vegetables. You have a wide range to choose from; broccoli, brussel sprouts, cabbages, watercress! The list goes on and on and if you switch your midday snack for these bad boys, you’re in for all the nutrients that reproduce collage and elastin in your skin!

Another one to keep in mind are bell peppers! Apart from being absolutely delicious, they are powered with Vitamic C and zinc! And you guessed right, they are an absolute must if you want to make your skin tighter.

For dessert, why not opt for citrus fruit? Eating one tangerine on a daily basis will provide you with the right amount of zinc, selenium and Vitamin C levels, which are the essential nutrients for a tightened and youthful skin!

And finally, when you have something to celebrate for, why not make sure there are oysters at the table? Yes, it is an aphrodisiac but it is also one of the greatest foods that contain high levels of selenium! Apart from being a great elastin producer, it will also make sure your skin is equipped through antioxidant protections.
