What is Alopecia?

Alopecia is a hair loss condition and is a terminology that refers to different forms of hair loss, both scarring, and non-scarring ones.

Alopecia areata is a non-scarring skin disease, as the hair follicle bulb is intact. Thus symptoms present abnormal pathophysiology where localised areas of hair loss are usually given as patches.

What causes alopecia varies widely. The causes range from inflammatory stress responses, autoimmune response, environment, genetics, diet, and even your lifestyle.  There is no definite answer as researchers continue to look for the causes, although there is a significant focus on developing new ways to cope and treat it.

However, findings have been slow, and visible conditions cause emotional distress and affect personal confidence as well as social and work-life balance. Alopecia is treated as a severe condition in which patients might find themselves at risk of depression, anxiety disorders, and social phobias.

It causes the need for serious consideration of effectively treating these types of conditions, such as male and female baldness. The London Facial Care is more than happy to take you on board with our hair regrowth treatments and natural hair regrowth techniques!
