The beauty of this product is that the effects are noticeable immediately after the procedure. These effects are long lasting, non-permanent and reversible.

Because of this, most of our patients will return for a top up every 6-12 months or so.

Most reactions are generally minimal and temporary. You should expect some swelling and you may have some slight bruising however these reactions are expected to settle down within a couple of days.

The most common side effects include redness, swelling.

Bruising tend to be much less as I use a cannula instead of a needle and also the Teosyal pen which delivers a gentle and regular push while injecting the filler into the skin

Before the treatment, any make up will be removed and the area will be cleansed. We will use a topical anaesthetic on the injection site(s). The product is placed using a cannula which helps to keep swelling and bruising to a minimum. You should only experience a small amount of discomfort during the treatment.

The treatment itself can take up to 30-50 minutes depending on which area is being treated.

After having your treatment you are advised to avoid any rubbing of the area and to avoid any beauty treatments e.g. facial massage, Sauna’s and extreme temperatures for up to 2 weeks.

We will give you an appointment 3 weeks later for any adjusting that may be necessary. Full written aftercare instructions will be given to you after the treatment has taken place.

The threads will be inserted with the help of a guiding needle through dot punctures or tiny skin cuts (up to 0.5 cm). The procedure will be carried out at the surgery under local anaesthetic. Whole face lifting lasts an hour, the lifting of separate areas lasts between 20 to 30 minutes.

You may find that your facial movement is limited for the first two weeks and it may hurt to laugh or smile.

You should not sleep on your face for the first week.

You should not shave your face, use chemical peels, scrub it or use harsh cleansers, avoid any beauty treatments e.g. facial massage, saunas and extreme temperatures for up to 2 months.

PRP stands for Platelet-Rich Plasma and is found within our blood. Plasma contains growth factors which enable our bodies to heal and regenerate. By extracting these growth factors we can then target specific areas to encourage the natural healing process to take place.

PRP can be used for skin rejuvenation and to stimulate hair growth using micro-needling.

For skin rejuvenation and hair growth I advise that you have 3 sessions which must be taken a month apart.

Immediately after the procedure, you may feel that the skin is smoother to touch. However the body needs time and you will begin to notice the difference once the growth factors have become established and start the healing process.

PRP is naturally sourced from your own body therefore the only reactions or side effects typically relate to the injection itself. These side effects can be some mild swelling and bruising from the injection site. Sometimes you may have some slight scratches on the surface of the skin and this should settle within a couple of days.

To be able to extract the PRP from your body I will need to collect a small amount of blood from your arm, similar to a routine blood test. The blood is then placed in a centrifuge that spins the blood at high speed which allows the platelets to separate from the other blood cells.

I will use a topical anaesthetic on the injection sites for hair rejuvenation however in facial rejuvenation this is not necessary as the method I use with the mess gun U225 has little to no discomfort.
